Updated March 2023

Please help us keep our therapists and patients safe by staying home if your child or a member in the household has tested positive for COVID-19 or has had any symptoms of COVID-19. Please give us a call to cancel your child’s appointment. We can sometimes offer teletherapy to patients as an alternative if the therapist finds it appropriate for your child. Please read our policies below.

We are following CDC's guidelines to determine when your child should stay home from therapy and when it is safe for them to return to our clinic.

Please stay home if you or a member of the household...

  1. have tested positive for COVID-19

If the patient tested positive and he/she wears a mask, he/she should:
    -Stay home for 5 days
-If asymptomatic after 5 days, he/she can return to CTC but must wear a mask (especially for an additional 5 days)

If the patient tested positive and he/she does NOT wear a mask, he/she should:
-Stay home for 10 days from the positive test date or first day of symptoms

  2. have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 10 days

If the patient has been exposed to someone in the household who tested positive for COVID-19, then please call us and we will discuss the next plan of action. The number of days the patient needs to stay home and out of our clinic will vary depending on each situation.

  3. have any COVID-19 symptoms

If the patient has symptoms of COVID-19, then he/she should stay home. It is recommended that he/she gets tested if appropriate.

    Covid-19 symptoms include:
cough, fever, chills, shortness of breath, loss of smell/taste, sore throat, fatigue, headache, runny nose or congestion, nausea or vomiting, or diarrhea

Drop-Off Procedure

Our lobbies will remain closed at this time until further notice. Caregivers will drop off their child for therapy by parking by one of our orange cones and check in by calling the number listed on the sign (Eagan: 651-994-9644, Apple Valley: 952-997-2823).

Patients and caregivers will wait in their car for the child's therapist to greet them. Therapists will escort the child into the clinic where the child will have their temperature taken. We encourage caregivers to wait a couple of minutes after their child enters the clinic in the case their child has a fever and has to be sent home. The therapist and child will then wash or sanitize their hands before going to their designated treatment area.

There are some instances when one caregiver will accompany a child to therapy (no siblings). If that is the case, we ask that you contact the clinic or your child’s therapist prior to your child’s appointment. The caregiver is required to wear a mask and wash their hands. The caregiver's temperature will also be taken.

Pick-Up Procedure

We ask that caregivers arrive back to the clinic at least 10 minutes before their child’s appointment ends. When you arrive, you can wait in your car and the therapist will escort your child out to your car.

Face Masks

Face masks are required for all adults and children over the age of 5 who are capable of wearing one. We encourage those ages 2 to 5 to wear one if they are capable. Please bring a face mask from home to wear. We understand that some individuals have health conditions and a different tolerance level for wearing a mask.

Face masks will no longer be required starting April 1st 2023. However, if the child appears to be sick, the therapist can request that the child wear a mask during his/her treatment session.

Cleaning/Sanitizing

We are sanitizing frequently touched surfaces throughout the day. All therapists and patients are required to wash or sanitize their hands before and after their therapy session. To help maintain social distance from other therapists and patients and to allow for proper sanitizing, therapists have a designated area/room to treat in. Therapists are cleaning and sanitizing their area and any toys/equipment used in-between each appointment. To allow for this, we ask that caregivers arrive on time to pick up their child.
